Additional Information
Using Pro Health™ as a Feed Additive
Pro Health™ is an effective feed additive to be added to bee feed for colonies in controlled hives. The benefits of Pro Health™ essential oils-based feeding supplement can promote vitality in smaller hives. They can be an excellent support for amateur beekeepers who need assistance with their bees’ health when nectar is low.
Many beekeepers appreciate having options for hive care, and the Pro Health™ feeding supplement has several size variations to cater to different needs for overall health. Pro Health™ comes in the following size variations:
1 pint
1-gallon
5-gallon
55-gallon
Remember to shake the feeding supplement before each use to ensure an even distribution of its essential oil-based ingredients. Made in the USA.
FEEDING SUPPLEMENT
FEEDING SUPPLEMENT
Syrup mixed with Pro Health stimulates bees to consume more heavily during early spring, late autumn and other times when natural nectar is not sufficiently available. Pro Health also prevents fermentation of sugar syrup. Healthy, well-fed bee packages, nucs and swarms are more quickly able to build the comb they need to establish the hive.
SPRAY DRENCH
New foundation may be sprayed with Pro Health mixed with syrup to stimulate bees to draw out foundation faster. Some beekeepers lightly spray bees rather than using a smoker to calm their bees. For extra health benefits and for times when bees are reluctant to feed, bees can be drenched with up to 1 cup (237 ml) Pro Health mixed with syrup, causing the bees to ingest higher quantities of the essential oils as they lick themselves and the hive clean.
