Bottom Board
Description
Screened Bottom Board
Our screened bottom boards are standard 10-frame Langstroth style and built for everyday working hives.
The screened design allows natural debris to fall through the hive instead of collecting inside the box. In warm South Central Texas conditions, this also improves airflow during the long heat season.
Each unit includes a removable debris board that slides into the lower groove. This allows you to:
• Monitor natural mite drop
• Close off the screen during colder weather
• Reduce drafts when needed
Debris board is a corrugated plastic insert that slides into the underside track.
Optional beetle oil trap / tray can be added for additional small hive beetle management.
